How to Integrate Chekin with Mangobeds

Chekin takes the paperwork side of hosting off your desk: guests check in online before they arrive, their identity document is scanned and verified, and their details are filed with whichever authority your country requires. Connect it to Mangobeds and your bookings sync across on their own.

What gets filed, and where

“Submits guest data to the authorities” means a different portal in every country. These are the ones hosts on Mangobeds ask about most:

  • Italy. The schedina to Alloggiati Web, the Polizia di Stato portal, within 24 hours of check-in; monthly ISTAT statistics in your region’s own format; and the tassa di soggiorno to your comune. Full detail in our Italy guide.
  • Spain. SES Hospedajes, the platform introduced by Real Decreto 933/2021, plus the regional police where they run their own: the Mossos d’Esquadra in Catalonia and the Ertzaintza in the Basque Country.
  • Portugal. The boletim de alojamento, the guest registration every host has to submit for foreign guests.
  • Elsewhere. Chekin also files in Croatia (eVisitor), the Czech Republic (UbyPort), Colombia (SIRE and TRA), Brazil (FNRH), Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates, and produces entry forms in countries with no central portal, such as France, the Netherlands and the UK. Alongside the filing, Chekin handles identity verification, digital contracts and signatures, deposits, and remote key handover where you use a smart lock.

Install the app

  1. In your Mangobeds dashboard, go to Apps.
  2. Select the Chekin app.
  3. Enter your Chekin API key in the settings. You will find it in your Chekin account.
  1. Open the Chekin app in Mangobeds.
  2. Choose the Mangobeds units you want to sync.
  3. Map each of those units to the corresponding housing in Chekin.

The mapping is what tells Chekin which property a guest is arriving at, so it decides which authority the filing goes to. A unit that is not mapped is simply not sent.

What happens after that

  • Every new, updated or cancelled booking in Mangobeds is sent to Chekin automatically, whether it came from your booking form, an OTA or your own hand.
  • Chekin invites the guest to complete their online check-in before arrival and collects their document.
  • Chekin files with the authority on the deadline that applies in your country.

You carry on working in Mangobeds and never open a government portal.

Chekin is a separate product with its own subscription, and it is the party that files on your behalf. Which portals it reaches, and the deadlines it meets, are set by Chekin and by your local rules rather than by Mangobeds.
