How to Connect Turno to Mangobeds

3 min read

Turno (formerly TurnoverBnB) schedules cleaning and linen turnovers for short-term rentals, and runs a marketplace where you can hire a cleaner if you do not have one. When you connect Turno to Mangobeds, every booking goes to Turno as it comes in, Turno books the cleaning for the checkout, and the unit is marked clean in Mangobeds when your cleaner finishes.

It works with every booking in Mangobeds, whatever brought it in: your own booking page, Airbnb, Booking.com, or a reservation you typed in by hand.

Before you start

  • You need a Turno account and its API token. Each Turno account has its own. If you do not have it yet, ask Turno support for your API token.
  • One unit in Mangobeds is one property in Turno. A room with four beds that you sell bed by bed is four units in Mangobeds, so decide whether the cleaner works per bed or per room before you link them.

Connect Turno to Mangobeds

  1. In Mangobeds, open your property and go to Apps > Turno.
  2. Paste your Turno API token and click Connect. Mangobeds checks the token with Turno straight away and shows the Turno account it connected to.

Once connected, the Turno app lists every unit of your property. For each one:

  • Already in Turno? Pick its Turno property from the list and click Link.
  • Not in Turno yet? Click Create in Turno. Mangobeds creates the property in Turno with your address and your check-in and check-out times, and links it. Then open it in Turno and pick its cleaner, so cleanings get scheduled.

As soon as a unit is linked, its upcoming confirmed bookings are sent to Turno. A unit shows Linked once it is done. Unlink stops sending that unit’s bookings.

If that Turno property was already reading a calendar from Airbnb, Hospitable or anywhere else, remove it in Turno once the unit is linked. Two sources feeding the same Turno property means the same checkout arrives twice, and your cleaner gets two jobs for one guest. Mangobeds already holds the bookings from every channel you have connected, so it is the only source that property needs.

What happens after that

  • New bookings go to Turno as soon as they are confirmed, with the guest’s name, the number of guests and your check-in and check-out times. Turno creates the cleaning for the checkout.
  • Date changes follow, so the cleaning moves with the checkout.
  • Cancellations follow too, so Turno drops the cleaning for guests who are no longer coming.
  • Finished cleanings come back. When your cleaner marks the job done in Turno, the unit is marked Clean in the Housekeeping app. If someone on your team changed the unit’s status after the cleaner finished, Mangobeds keeps their change.

Everything else stays in Turno: who cleans, what they are paid, which checklist they follow, and the photos they take when they are done. If you do not have a cleaner, Turno’s marketplace is where you find one.

If you would rather keep the whole turnover inside Mangobeds, the Housekeeping app schedules a clean on every check-in and check-out by itself, with your own staff and no second tool. Plenty of properties run both: Turno for the units with an outside cleaning company, Housekeeping for the rest.

Disconnect Turno

Open Apps > Turno, click Settings and choose Disconnect Turno. New bookings stop going to Turno and every unit link is removed. Bookings already in Turno stay there, with their cleanings. You can connect again at any time.
