Split & Extend Bookings in Mangobeds

Long-stay guests switch rooms, add nights, or chop their stay in half all the time. Instead of juggling spreadsheets, do it in one flow inside the booking.

How it works

  1. Open the booking
    Head to Bookings → select the guest → Edit.
  2. Add a new unit
    In Units Booked, hit + Add Unit. Pick the new room (or bed) the guest will move into.
  3. Adjust dates
    • Shorten the original unit to its new end date.
    • Set start/end dates for the new unit or add extra nights to keep the guest longer.
  4. Review totals
    Mangobeds auto-recalculates price, taxes, and availability as you tweak dates.
  5. Update and email the guest
    Click Update, check the summary and click Confirm update. The calendar updates instantly, with no overlaps and no double bookings. In that same window, tick Send email to guest about changes and Mangobeds emails the guest their new dates, room and total, so you do not have to send an updated confirmation by hand.
