YACAN Connection Guide with Mangobeds

YACAN is a smart lock platform widely used across Spain. YACAN locks work with PIN access codes, and a single YACAN connection lets Mangobeds manage codes for every lock in your account.

What Mangobeds can do with YACAN:

  • Fetch your lock inventory automatically
  • Generate time-limited PIN codes for guest stays
  • Update or revoke codes automatically when bookings change or are cancelled
  • Keep codes in sync with booking date changes

Setting It Up

Step 1: Open the Smart Locks App

In your Mangobeds dashboard, go to Apps and select Smart Locks.

Step 2: Connect

Click Get Started and select YACAN as your provider. Instead of typing credentials, click Connect with YACAN. A window opens where you sign in to your YACAN account and authorize Mangobeds. Once you approve, the window closes on its own and your locks appear in Mangobeds. There are no API keys to copy.

Before you connect: make sure your property has its timezone and check-in / check-out times set in Settings > Property. YACAN codes are valid for your real check-in to check-out hours, so Mangobeds needs these to set each code’s window. If they are missing, the Connect button will ask you to add them first.

You’ll see a list of all your units. For each unit, select a lock from the dropdown (pulled from your YACAN account) and click Link.

Step 4: Let Mangobeds Do the Rest

About 48 hours before each guest’s check-in, Mangobeds creates the stay in YACAN and gets back the PIN code for the booking. The code is valid from your property’s check-in time on the arrival day to your check-out time on the departure day, using your property’s timezone to set the exact hours. You can deliver the code to your guest via the access-code variable in your check-in email. Date changes and cancellations are handled automatically too.

Managing Keys

Editing a key: Click Edit to change check-in or checkout dates. Mangobeds updates the code’s validity on the YACAN lock automatically.

Revoking a key: Click Revoke. Mangobeds removes the code from the YACAN lock and the guest can no longer use it.

Lock details: Click Details to see the lock name and serial number.

Requirements

  • An active YACAN account with your locks already set up in it
  • YACAN locks that support PIN-code access
  • You authorize Mangobeds by signing in to YACAN during setup (no API keys to manage)
  • Your property’s timezone and check-in / check-out times set in Mangobeds (Settings > Property), used to set each code’s valid hours
