How to Find Your iCal Link on Vrbo

1 min read

Every Vrbo property publishes a Vrbo iCal link: a URL that lists the dates that property is booked. Paste it into Mangobeds and those dates are blocked on the matching unit, so the same room cannot be sold twice.

Where to find it

  1. Sign in to your Vrbo Owner Dashboard.
  2. If you manage more than one property, open the listing you want to sync.
  3. In the menu, select Calendar.
  4. In Settings, open the Availability tab.
  5. Under Calendar sync, select Connect calendars, then Export calendar, then Copy URL.

Copy the calendar link, not the address of the page you are on. The right one contains icalendar. You can also tick Include tentative bookings if you want held dates blocked too.

Where to paste it in Mangobeds

  1. In Mangobeds, go to Apps > iCal.
  2. Pick the accommodation, then the unit this listing corresponds to.
  3. Click Add source, choose the source, and paste the link you copied.
  4. Save. Mangobeds pulls the calendar on a schedule and blocks those dates on the unit.

Syncing the other way works the same in reverse: copy the unit’s outbound iCal URL from Apps > iCal and import it on the other platform, so bookings taken in Mangobeds block the dates there too.

iCal or the channel manager?

iCal is the light option: Vrbo sends dates, and only every 30 minutes or so. If you want rates and reservations to sync both ways, connect Vrbo through the channel manager instead. Do not run both at once on the same unit.
