Hostelworld Channel Manager Connection Guide

To connect Hostelworld to your Mangobeds property via the Channel Manager, follow these steps:

1. Request connection from Hostelworld
Email Hostelworld support and ask them to enable Channex as your channel manager. Once they activate the connection, they’ll reply with your Hostelworld property ID.

2. Add Hostelworld channel in Mangobeds

• Go to Apps → Channel Manager. You land on the Channels tab
• Click Connect and pick Hostelworld
• Enter the property ID from Hostelworld
• Click Test connection – you should see that Hostelworld recognised the details

3. Map rooms

• Click Continue to mapping and point each Hostelworld room at one of your accommodations. Whether a room is priced per person (dorms) or at full occupancy (private rooms) is worked out for you from what Hostelworld sends
• Map every room; a room left as “Not mapped” is not sold through Mangobeds
• Click Create channel. The channel is created inactive, so nothing is synced yet

4. Activate the connection

• Open the channel’s menu and choose Activate

That’s it — your Hostelworld listings will now stay in sync with Mangobeds in real time.

IMPORTANT

The minimum and maximum stay for Hostelworld is 14 nights, so if you set a value above that one, it will end up being 14.
