Izipay Connection Guide with Mangobeds
3 min read
If you host in Peru, you can charge guests through Izipay right inside Mangobeds. Guests pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Diners Club on Izipay’s secure payment page, including cards issued abroad, and Mangobeds marks the booking as paid the moment Izipay confirms it.
Before you start (what you need)
- An active Izipay Online account. If you do not have one yet, you can apply at izipay.pe with your RUC, DNI or carnet de extranjería.
- Your Izipay shop id (the “usuario” or identificador de tienda, a numeric code).
- Your Izipay REST API password.
- Your Mangobeds property country set to Peru. Izipay only appears in the provider list for Peruvian properties.
- Your Mangobeds property currency set to USD, which is what Mangobeds charges through Izipay today.
Where to find your credentials in Izipay
- Sign in to the Back Office Vendedor at secure.micuentaweb.pe, with the identifier and password Izipay emailed you when you affiliated.
- Go to Configuración → Tiendas → Claves.
- Find the Claves de API REST section. Copy the usuario (your shop id) and the contraseña.
Test password or production password?
Izipay gives you two passwords on the same shop: one for test and one for production. The one you paste into Mangobeds is what decides whether payments are real. Use the production password to take real money from guests. The test password is useful for a dry run first, with Izipay’s test cards, and no money moves.
Heads-up: the REST API password is the secret half of your credentials, so treat it like a password. Don’t share it over email or paste it into chat. Izipay also asks you to change your Back Office password every 90 days, which does not change your API password.
Supported country
Izipay is available for properties in Peru. It accepts Peruvian and foreign cards, so guests travelling from abroad can pay with the card they already have.
How to set up Izipay in Mangobeds
- Go to: Property → Settings → Payment Accounts → Connect Payment Account.
- In Create a new payment account, choose Izipay as the provider.
- Paste:
- Izipay shop id
- Izipay REST API password
- Tick the box confirming you’ve read this guide.
- Save to create the payment account, then Connect it to the property.
Mangobeds checks the credentials against Izipay before saving, so if the shop id or password is wrong you will see the error straight away rather than on your first booking.
There is nothing to configure on the Izipay side. Mangobeds sends its notification address with every payment, so you do not need to set a notification rule in the Back Office.
Heads-up: once a property is linked to a payment account, you can’t swap providers on that property without removing the connection first.
How a guest payment works
- Mangobeds sends the guest to Izipay’s secure payment page.
- The guest pays with their card, and Izipay runs the 3-D Secure check with their bank.
- Izipay notifies Mangobeds automatically once the payment is confirmed.
- Mangobeds marks the booking’s payment as Succeeded and sends you the usual property notification email.
This works for both ways of collecting money: the deposit a guest pays when booking through your booking form, and a payment link you send from a booking for the remaining balance.
Wrap-up
If you host in Peru, connecting Izipay to Mangobeds lets you take card payments from Peruvian and international guests without sending anyone to a bank transfer or asking for cash on arrival. Copy your shop id and REST API password out of the Back Office, paste them in, and you’re live. If you also work across the region, PayU Latam is the other option for Peruvian properties.
