SAF-T PT Invoice Export with Mangobeds

If your property is in Portugal, Mangobeds can export your invoices as a SAF-T PT file. SAF-T PT is the XML format the Portuguese tax authority (Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira) asks for, and it is the file your accountant needs every month.

You pick a period, Mangobeds builds one file with every invoice in it, and you hand it over. No copying invoices by hand.

Who can use it

The SAF-T PT export shows up for any property whose country is set to Portugal. If you do not see it, check the country in your property settings first.

Before you export

  1. Open Apps and then Invoicing.
  2. Click More and then Settings.
  3. Fill in your Tax Id with your NIF.
  4. Check the tax percentages for units and extras. The export uses them for the VAT breakdown.
  5. Save.

If a guest gave you their NIF, add it in the invoice’s Identification Number field so it lands in the file too.

How to export

  1. Go to Apps, then Invoicing.
  2. Click More at the top right and pick SAF-T PT.
  3. Choose the period. Click one of the month buttons (this month or the two before it), or set a Start date and an End date yourself.
  4. Click Export SAF-T XML. The file downloads straight away.

The file is named after the period, for example SAFT_PT_2026-09-01_2026-09-30.xml, so it is easy to find later.

What is inside the file

  • Your property’s details: name, NIF and address.
  • Each customer: name, NIF (when you have it) and address.
  • Every invoice in the period, line by line, with quantities, prices and the VAT breakdown.
  • Payment details for each invoice.

Good to know

  • One export covers up to 3 months. For a longer period, export it in parts.
  • If the period has no invoices, you will see “No invoices found for the selected period.” and no file is made.
