Connect BookMyColiving with Mangobeds and publish your coliving on their marketplace in one click. The listing is built from what you already keep in Mangobeds, and one button keeps it up to date.

What is BookMyColiving?

BookMyColiving is a free marketplace for coliving spaces in more than 200 cities. Listing costs nothing and they take no commission. People looking for a room find your coliving there and send you an enquiry or a message, and you agree the stay with them directly.

Every listing is checked by the BookMyColiving team before it goes live, which usually takes a day or two.

Why connect BookMyColiving with Mangobeds?

You already described your coliving in Mangobeds: the description, the photos, the facilities, the house rules and every room with its price. Typing all of it again on another site takes an afternoon, and the copy there starts to drift the day you change a price.

With the BookMyColiving app, Mangobeds builds the listing for you and updates it whenever you press sync. You keep everything in one place.

What Mangobeds sends to BookMyColiving

  • Name, description, website and contact details of the property.
  • Address and city. We match your city to BookMyColiving’s list, and add it there if it is not listed yet.
  • Photos. Your property gallery for the common areas, and each room’s own photos for that room.
  • Amenities, taken from the facilities you ticked, plus parking and pets from your policies. Wi-Fi is always included.
  • House rules, written from your check-in and check-out times and your smoking and pets policies.
  • Rooms, the ones you choose, each as a private or shared room with its monthly price, deposit and bills, in your own currency.

Step by step: connect BookMyColiving to Mangobeds

  1. Sign up on BookMyColiving as an operator and verify your email. You need the verified email to create an API key.
  2. On BookMyColiving, open Settings and find API Integration. Copy your API key, the one that starts with bmc_.
  3. In Mangobeds, go to Apps > BookMyColiving, paste the key and press Connect.
  4. Under Rooms, press Add to listing on each room you want on BookMyColiving. Choose private or shared and enter the monthly price. If the room is already priced per month in Mangobeds, that price is filled in for you.
  5. Under Listing details, pick the coliving types that describe your place, such as digital nomads, students or surfers, and set a minimum stay if you have one.
  6. Press Publish on BookMyColiving. Your listing is created and sent to their team for review.

Changed a price, a photo or a room? Press Sync to BookMyColiving and the listing is updated. The app always shows where the listing stands: draft, in review, live or rejected, with the reason.

Before your BookMyColiving listing can go live

BookMyColiving only publishes complete listings. The app shows a short checklist of anything missing, with a link to where you fix it in Mangobeds:

  • A description of at least 20 characters, in Settings > Content.
  • At least 3 photos of the property, also in Settings > Content.
  • At least one photo on every room you add to the listing, on that accommodation’s page.
  • A city in the property address.

If only photos are missing, the listing is still saved on BookMyColiving as a draft, and goes to review on the next sync once they are in.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything?

No. Listing on BookMyColiving is free with no commission, and the app is included in every Mangobeds plan.

Can I use my own currency?

Yes. Room prices are sent in the currency of your property. BookMyColiving shows visitors an approximate conversion into theirs, but your price stays the one you set.

Does BookMyColiving update on its own?

Changes reach BookMyColiving when you press sync in the app. That way nothing goes out half finished while you are still editing.

What if I disconnect?

You choose whether to delete the listing on BookMyColiving or leave it there to manage on their site. You can connect again at any time.
