Traveloka Channel Manager Connection Guide

The Traveloka channel manager connection keeps Southeast Asia’s largest travel platform in sync with Mangobeds: your rates, availability and restrictions go out, and reservations come back in, without anyone touching two calendars.

Before you start
You need a direct Traveloka contract for the property and your property setup finished in the Traveloka Extranet (content, photos, rooms, rates).

  1. Enable Channex in the Traveloka Extranet
    Ask Traveloka to authorise Channex as your channel manager for the property
    Ask them for your Hotel Code, a short code that looks like LsBxFfgUQcuf
    Note that the Hotel Code is not always the same as the property ID you see elsewhere in the Extranet, so use the one Traveloka gives you for the channel manager connection.

Note: if Traveloka support cannot find the setting, ask them to connect your property to Channex. This is the same request every channel manager makes, and their connectivity team handles it.

  1. Add the Traveloka channel in Mangobeds
    Go to Apps → Channel Manager. You land on the Channels tab
    Click Connect and pick Traveloka
    Enter your Hotel Code
    Choose a Tax Setting For Bookings: pick the one that matches how Traveloka reports amounts to you, so a reservation in Mangobeds is worth the same figure as the voucher
    Set Max Stay Type to Arrival or Through, depending on how you want a maximum stay counted
    Tick Send Property Notification and add an email if you want Traveloka to mail the property directly as well
    Click Test connection
    If the test fails, check the Hotel Code first, then confirm with Traveloka that Channex is authorised for the property.
  2. Map rooms and rates
    Click Continue to mapping and point each Traveloka room at one of your accommodations
    Map one room type to RETAIL only. Every other rate on Traveloka is derived from that one, so mapping them all creates duplicates
    Traveloka mapping is always multi-occupancy. If your property sells at one price whatever the party size, use the same mapping across every occupancy
    Traveloka supports meal plans at the room level only, so a room sold with and without breakfast appears as two rooms on their side. Map each one
    Map every room; a room left as “Not mapped” is not sold through Mangobeds
    Click Create channel. The channel is created inactive, so nothing is synced yet.
  3. Activate the connection
    Open the channel’s menu and choose Activate

That’s it. Rates, availability, restrictions and reservations will now sync for Traveloka.

Getting the Traveloka channel manager amounts right

Traveloka can send you reservation amounts with or without commission, and with or without tax. Ask your Traveloka contact which one your property is set to, then match the Tax Setting For Bookings in Mangobeds to it. Do this before you take your first booking and your Mangobeds totals will line up with your Traveloka hotel vouchers from day one, rather than needing reconciling later.

Before you connect any channel

Currency, rates and restrictions are set once for every channel, not per OTA, and it is worth getting them right before you connect.
