How to Find Your iCal Link on Rakuten Oyado

Rakuten Oyado (formerly Vacation STAY) is Rakuten’s booking site for vacation rentals and guesthouses in Japan. Every room you list there has a Rakuten Oyado iCal link: a URL that lists the dates that room is booked. Paste it into Mangobeds and those dates are blocked on the matching unit, so the same room cannot be sold twice.

Where to find your Rakuten Oyado iCal link

  1. Sign in to Rakuten Oyado as a host.
  2. Go to Host > Calendar (ホスト > カレンダー), or open the room’s own settings.
  3. Find the calendar export and copy the URL Rakuten Oyado generates for that room.

More than one room? Rakuten Oyado gives every room its own link and does not combine several rooms into one calendar. Copy one link per room and match each to its own unit in Mangobeds.

Where to paste it in Mangobeds

  1. In Mangobeds, go to Apps > iCal.
  2. Pick the accommodation, then the unit this room corresponds to.
  3. Click Add source, choose Rakuten Oyado, and paste the link you copied.
  4. Save. Mangobeds pulls the calendar on a schedule and blocks those dates on the unit.

Send your Mangobeds calendar to Rakuten Oyado

Copy the unit’s outbound iCal URL from Apps > iCal, then in Rakuten Oyado go back to Host > Calendar and import it as an external calendar. Dates booked in Mangobeds or on your other channels then show as unavailable on Rakuten Oyado too.

Rakuten Oyado runs the first sync once you add the link and then syncs again at regular intervals. Like every iCal connection, there is a short delay between a booking and the other side seeing it, so very last-minute bookings can still overlap.

Licensed under the Ryokan Business Act (旅館業法)? Rakuten Oyado asks you to set the stock to 1 for each room type you sync, so one room on their side always matches one unit in Mangobeds.

What Rakuten Oyado iCal syncs, and what it does not

iCal only carries dates. A booking made on Rakuten Oyado arrives in Mangobeds as blocked dates, not as a reservation with the guest’s name, price or payment, and prices you change in Mangobeds are not sent to Rakuten Oyado.
