Booking.com Channel Manager Connection Guide

IMPORTANT

Derived Rates and promotions, such as discounts, weekly rates or monthly rates, need to be managed on Booking.com. If you have some, you need to delete the derived rates inside Booking.com, and after connecting the listing inside Mangobeds, make them new again in Booking.com. If not, they and other rules such as the min. Stay won’t work. After deleting the derived rates and promotions inside Booking.com, connect the listing, map the rooms, and recreate the derived rates and promotions inside Booking.com, and make sure they are working fine.

Request connection to Channex.io in booking extranet

  1. Log in to the Booking.com Extranet: https://account.booking.com/
  2. Copy the Property Code (top-left navigation)—you’ll paste this later in Mangobeds.
  3. Go to Account → Connectivity Provider.
  4. Click Search, type “Channex”, select Channex.io.
  5. Click Next, tick the XML Service Agreement box, hit Yes, I accept.
  6. Booking.com now shows Waiting for provider approval—Channex will approve the link.

Create Booking.com Channel in Mangobeds

  1. Open Apps → pick Channel Manager. You land on the Channels tab.
  2. Click Connect and pick Booking.com.
  3. Enter the Hotel ID: the property code you copied in the extranet. You can also set a Price adjustment to sell at a different price on Booking.com than on your own site, for example to cover its commission.
  4. Click Test connection. This checks that Booking.com recognises the property, and it only passes once the Connectivity Provider request above has been approved.
  5. Click Continue to mapping and point each Booking.com room type at one of your accommodations. Rates and guest counts are matched up for you behind the scenes. A room left as “Not mapped” is not sold through Mangobeds.
  6. Click Create channel. The channel is created inactive, so nothing is synced yet.
  7. Import existing reservations: open the channel’s menu and choose Pull bookings.
  8. When the calendar looks right, choose Activate in the same menu to start syncing rates, availability and new bookings.

That’s it—rates, availability, and reservations are now synced in real time.

Before you connect any channel

Currency, rates and restrictions are set once for every channel, not per OTA, and it is worth getting them right before you connect. Read the channel manager guide for that setup and for every other channel Mangobeds connects to.
